Healthy Ireland

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions our Healthy Ireland at Your Library Events Programme has come to a temporary halt.

However, you can still engage with the Healthy Ireland Programme. Find out how you can stay informed.

Healthy Ireland, a Government-led initiative, is the national strategy to improve health and wellbeing, placing a focus on prevention, individual awareness and keeping people healthy for longer.

At Cavan Library Service we're actively promoting and supporting the Healthy Ireland at Your library Programme and we invite you to join us!

Attend our special events on health and wellbeing, visit your library for more information or engage with the Healthy Ireland at your Library programme online.

Our Healthy Ireland at Your Library programme will provide a range of resources, services and support to users and communities throughout Cavan. We will

  • Promote health awareness in the community and provide guidance on access to health and wellbeing information

  • Provide a comprehensive collection of books on health and wellbeing all our library branches. This collection will always be accessible through our Online Library in the form of eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines.  View our Book List.

  • Events – We will host a varied programme of talks, discussions and workshops with a focus on physical health, mental health and health literacy.
