'Decluttering and the Impact on our Mental Health' with Fiona Hall

Fiona Hall has  a particular interest in decluttering and the positive impact it can have on our mental health and wellbeing. In September 2016, she set up Consciously Clearing decluttering service to work alongside clients in their homes throughout Ireland to help them live with less and feel more organised. Her vision is to help clients declutter and organise their homes so they can let go of the past, lower their stress and anxiety levels and ultimately live happier lives!

'Clever Little Handies' Baby Sign Class with Claire Glynn

For parents with babies from newborns and upwards.This 4 week workshop is brought to you via Zoom and will contain nursery rhymes, songs and poems with ISL signs that pertain to the day to day life with a baby (approximately 100 signs over the 4 weeks).

In partnership with Healthy Ireland and Libraries Ireland, GIY have launched of Grow it Forward and Cavan Library service is delighted to be part of this fantastic initiative. In the coming weeks and months 50,000 free food growing kits will be given away nationwide and budding GIYers are invited to claim a Grow it Forward pack at giy.ie/growitforward or by contacting their local library.

Each food growing pack includes seeds for beetroot, carrots, salad leaves, peas and tomatoes; a guide to help grow them and a postcard and gift tags to help share them. When you sign up you will also receive regular e-mails with growing support, video clips and ideas for how to ‘grow it forward’ by passing on seeds, seedlings or produce in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
