FULLY BOOKED!! Cavan County Library Service will host a free talk aimed at building resilience in children and young people, with guest speaker, author Stella O’Malley on Wednesday, 13 February in Johnston Central Library, Farnham St Cavan.

 

 

This talk, on ‘Bully proof kids: raising happy kids in an anxious world’, is part of the Healthy Ireland at your Library initiative, and will take place in the library’s event space at 7pm. The talk is sure to be of great interest to parents, educators and young people who work, with, know of, or are affected themselves by bullying behaviour, both on line or in daily life.

Stella O’Malley is a psychotherapist, bestselling author, and public speaker. Much of Stella’s counselling and writing focuses on mental health and the importance of well-being. She is a regular contributor to Newstalk radio and the Irish Independent.

Stella's first highly acclaimed book, ‘Cotton Wool Kids’, was released in 2015 and her bestseller 'Bully-Proof Kids: Practical tools to help kids grow up confident, resilient and strong' was released in 2017. Stella is currently working on her new book ‘Fragile': Why are we feeling more anxious and overwhelmed than ever before’, which focuses on overcoming anxiety and will be released by Gill Books in 2019.

The talk will take place at Johnston Central Library at 7pm. All are welcome.
