All > Ireland Reads - 'Take the Pledge' & check out our author and storytime events!

Published on:04 Feb 2021

What is IRELAND READS? Ireland Reads is a national campaign inviting people of all ages to get reading this month, culminating in 'Ireland Reads Day' on 25th February. Why? Because taking some time for yourself to relax and do the things you enjoy (like reading) is important to help look after your mental wellbeing. One minute, ten minutes, an hour, or more – it doesn’t matter how long you read for, the important thing is that you read and enjoy the feeling of getting lost in a book. Take the pledge on www.irelandreads.ie and see how many minutes people all over Ireland will be squeezing in! WE HAVE ONLINE EVENTS TO CELEBRATE TOO!!! Author sessions for children with Nicola Pierce, Oisín McGann and Muireann Ní Chíobháin - take a look at our events page and facebook.com/CavanLibrary for more details.

Enjoy the benefits reading brings and take some time to read a book, magazine or whatever you love reading in the run up to #IrelandReads Day on Thursday 25 February.
