Published on:02 Mar 2021

World Book Day is a celebration of reading, authors, illustrators and books. It’s designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world and this year will take place in Ireland and UK on 4th March. It's mission is to help change children’s lives by making reading together and reading for pleasure a habit for life. So of course we're going to get involved! To mark the day we will be sending out a special message from library staff and a storytime to all pupils in Jnr Infants - 2nd Class. Teachers...watch out for details arriving by email or just find links on our Events page!
