Spring Into Storytime
Spring Into Storytime in libraries across Ireland in the month of April, with storytimes in the library for preschool and primary school aged children. Easter Bank Holiday Closure
All Cavan Libraries will be closed on Friday 18 April, Saturday 19 April and Monday 21 April for the Bank Holiday weekend. Normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday 22 April at 10.00am You can access your library account online and borrow eBook, eAudiobooks and digital magazines from our Online Library - login using your library card and PIN. Have a wonderful Easter everyone!
Easter Spring into Storytime events booking out!
Spring Into Storytime is celebrated in all libraries across the country in the month of April. The programme is in full swing in our libraries and we have some fantastic events programmed over the Easter break. Booking essential for some events so don't delay... pick up the phone or drop in!
Bealtaine Festival with Cavan Library Service!
Our Bealtaine Festival plans are set... and it's going to be a busy month of May! We're celebrating the festival run by Age and Opportunity with a packed programme of events - all free but booking essential on some. There is something for everyone!
Spring Into Storytime Colouring Competition
Spring Into Storytime is delivered in all libraries across the country in the month of April, with storytimes and activities for in the library for preschool and primary school aged children. Cavan Library Service is delighted to launch it's annual Spring Into Storytime Colouring Competition which opens today, 25th March. Download the entry for the two Categories 5-7 yr olds and 8-12 yr olds or pick up a copy in your local library branch. The closing date for the competition is 9th April. Good luck everyone!
Tree planting at Virginia LIbrary
Together with pupils from the DEN class, 2nd Class and young Green School Committee at St. Mary's N.S., with the generous help of Virginia Men's Shed, Virginia Library planted a tree for generations to come as part of #NationalTreeWeek. Leas Cathaoirleach Cllr Niall Smith welcomed everyone and the tree was settled in by the children after a storytime session all about the wonder of trees!
LOTE4Kids
We are delighted to announce the arrival of LOTE4Kids with Cavan Library Service! LOTE4Kids is an online database of children's picture books in a variety of world languages which allows you to enjoy books and learn languages through storytelling! Accessible through a free user-friendly web App, LOTE4Kids ensures your children can access their best-loved books in their native language in the library, at home, and on the go!
