Welcome to our Irish Pages!

If you have an interest in "all things" Irish then this is the place for you. One of our main aims in Cavan County Council’s Library Service is to support the use of the Irish language. We are very proud of our heritage and culture and make every effort to promote the Irish Language within our service. We have strong links with Glór Bhréifne, Ógrás and Conradh an Gaeilge and we work in partnership with Cavan’s National and Secondary Schools for many events.

We hold "As Gaeilge" events on a regular basis:
