Cruinnui-na-nOgA day of free creativity for children and young people

Ireland is the first, and only, country in the world to have a national day of free creativity for children and young people under 18. Cruinniú na nÓg is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth Plan to enable the creative potential of children and young people, took place on Saturday 15 June 2024.

Creative Cavan delivered events throughout Co Cavan and in a first for Cruinniú na nÓg, this year events also featured a cross border-collaboration between Cavan County Council and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, who jointly manage the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, the world’s first cross-border Geopark.

Cruinniú na nÓg is back for October 2024

Creative Cavan in partnership with Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark are excited to bring these Dark Skies creative workshops to Counties Cavan and Fermanagh. This year CreativeIreland have enabled the delivery of further cross border events as part of Shared Island Cruinniú na nÓg to continue to enable the creative potential of children and young people.
This project is funded by Creative Ireland Shared Island and Cavan County Council through Creative Cavan.
