Mapping and recording your Local History

St. Aidan's Comprehensive School Transition year students lead the way with their teacher Tanya Brady as they undertook an innovative project to map and record their local history.

They uploaded their Local History Project to their school website and Cavan Library website.

The project was inspired by Seán Ó Cualáin, film-maker and television producer and local historian Seosamh Ó Suilleabháin who developed the website (oidhreachtlca.ie) to preserve heritage of Loughaconeera, in Connemara.
