Registration for Summer Stars opens in all libraries from Monday 22nd June!

Summer Stars is the free national reading programme for children that takes place in all public libraries and online each summer from June - August. It's a fantastic way to get kids reading, and gives them something worthwhile and fun to do during the summer break!
How to take part..
- Children need to be library members to take part. Join your local library if your family does not have membership - joining is easy and free!
- Bring in your library card to any Cavan Library branch and register for the Summer Stars programme - pick up you bag, activity booklet and reader card.
- Visit your library regularly to stock up on your summer reads and use the reader card to record each time a book is read, online or in print form.
- Parents and guardians - You can encourage your child to record any books, comics or magazines they read over the summer months and on visiting the library we will stamp all reading cards to keep the momentum going!
- Every child who reads a book over the summer will receive a certificate AND will be entered into our Summer Stars Prize Draw!
