Johnny B

The story of Johnny B is an emotional and historical drama set during WW1.

The original script by Peter Lamacq was written following his research and personal journey to discover the life of his maternal grandfather.  The scrip has been adapted by his daughter, local creative, Sally-Ann Duffy who is a co-ordinator at Bailieborough Creative Hub.

Where the story begins...

The story of Johnny B starts in 1875 in Co Cavan, Ireland, with a whirlwind romance in London, England then back to Cavan where in 1898 John Patrick Brady was born.

The story that followed is based on real similar events, however, character names are fictitious.  

The story of Johnny B was directed by James O'Donnell - a theatre director, playwright and acting coach who has worked in both Ireland and London.

Charlie McGuinness, Liam Daly, Niamh McPhillips and David Clarke.

Johnny B was performed on 24 September at the official re-opening of the Trenches Experience at Cavan County Museum by Cathaoirleach John Paul Feeley .
